How good has Rohan Dennis been in the second half of this Giro? It's almost like when G dropped out they said to him take it easy til the second half and use the second time trial to get back into full form. He's been absolutely immense.

Exactly right. Dennis rides on the Stelvio and yesterday at Sestriere were two of the best Dom performances I have seen since his fellow countryman Richie Porte was pulling for Chris Froome.

I don’t want to tempt fate Finny. Its a short flat TT and they have both beaten each other in the previous two TTs. I guess it’s all about nerve on the day!

Good article in one of the papers this morning about Tao. Son of a Irish builder and Scottish mum. He was a very keen swimmer in his youth. Took part in the cross channel swim as a youngster. Also a decent cross country runner as well so he would have made a world class triathlete. Member of Hackney CC. Used to hang about at Condor cycles in Grays Inn Rd. Worked behind the counter there at weekends.

Fillipo Ganna another immense time trial. 30 seconds faster than anyone else so far and Campanaerts went well.

What a grand tour for all the young guns and what a future cycling has ahead of it with so many of them now proving they are capable.

Great entertainment. And Ineos re-modelling themselves as a cavalier, swashbuckling team. Great to see the emotion from Ganna and hear Wiggins tearing up.
