Giro D’Italia Chat (Contains spoilers) 🇮🇹

:) I love De Gendt
Not only is he a great racer, but he's got that madness and single mindedness about him that makes for some of the best sportsmen.
When I saw him on that climb I was counting my fantasy points already.
As for today, Demare was very impressive and I thought Sagan was nailed on for the win in that last km.

They have just announced the cancellation of the Paris Roubaix that was rearranged for later this month.

Yates out as he's tested positive for Covid-19.

I did wonder watching him suffer. A couple of athletes that I coach had similar dips in form associated with covid infection. In fact I went through a period where I couldn't run up hills that are normally a breeze for me without stopping and gasping for breath (though I was not tested). My lungs are still not right (low blood oxygen readings). Anyway, it all makes sense.

The leader not only has a 700 point lead, Demare as his sprinter he also still has 9 fit cyclists still running. It will need a major outbreak of COVID to stop him now.

The football and rugby world have been riddled with idiots leaving their bubbles so I’m interested in how a cyclist confined to their bubble gets it.

Maybe the answer is when they leave it i.e on the road climbing a mountain with fans shouting at you closely.

It's the weakest link in the chain thing isn't it. Within a team there's so many support staff that it'd only take one slip up by them or the rider to catch it.

More importantly having got it how many more in the bubble will get it and is it the end for Michelton Scott’s Giro.

Great to see two Brits in the break. The break will make it too Today
