The prosecutor,who originally let Epstein off was in Trumps's cabinet until he was arrested in 2019.

In 2002 Donald Trump said this about Jeffrey Epstein to New York Magazine: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy … He’s a lot of fun to be with. He likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

And

In adeposition that Jeffrey Epstein gave years ago. Epstein was asked this question: “Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?” Epstein’s answer: “Though I’d like to answer that question, at least today I’m going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.”

You've lost me? I asked the question, I don't get what you're getting at.

I'd assume anyone that moved in the circles of power and went to certain types of social events in the nineties and noughties will have come across or be intertwined with Epstein in some way.

Oh come on, let's be honest, with Trump it's all about the money, not morals. Trump knew what Epstein was within months of meeting him and still hung around with him.

Trump isn't exactly Mr Squeaky clean in this arena, multiple claims that he repeatedly walked into Miss Teen USA dressing rooms.

I don't know about that - there have been dozens of allegations by various women, of sexual assault by different well-known men, carried out in connection with Epstein's activities. There have never been any Epstein-related allegations against Bill Clinton. There was an allegation against Trump in a lawsuit filed by one of Epstein's alleged victims, although the suit was later withdrawn, with the plaintiff's lawyer claiming she had received death threats.

Don't forget that Epstein, in common with some other high-profile pedophiles (Jimmy Saville for one) used to engage in various kinds of charitable and philanthropic activities, probably in an attempt to provide themselves with a veneer of respectability that would help cover up their more nefarious activities. In Epstein's case this involved giving millions of dollars in donations to worthy causes, educational institutions etc. This then allowed him to rub shoulders with other people involved in these kinds of causes - for example many of the flights when Bill Clinton was on his plane, were to take them both to places where the Clinton Foundation had charitable projects.

Trump has denied not knowing him well despite going on record praising his character and the appearance of a litany of photos together. There were actual neighbours in Florida (adjoining properties) and Epstein says himself he introduced Melania to Trump. Intertwined therefore on a regular basis and if he wasn’t involved at some stage with Epstein’s reprehensible life style in any way I’d be shocked. They certainly had a big fall out over a property dispute years later and suddenly Epstein wasn’t the “ terrific guy” he used to know at all those parties they frequented.
