So we all wear bowler hats.. or should I say Bola hats.. and pay our respect mourning the loss of our most treasured and important players that have since moved on.

Ryan Giles
His four assists in the 2nd half of the season.. 2 against Reading at home where we won 5-0 and the 2 against Preston where we won 4-0.. and then we can show the mistake in the playoffs that led that knocked us out of the playoffs.
£5m to Luton Town.. which would have been a record fee in the championship.

Aaron Ramsey
He played 671 minutes for us.. equivalent to 7.5 games. Sure he had 6 goal involvements.. Josh Coburn managed 4 goal involvements in 470 minutes.. but he wasn’t on loan from Aston Villa. Arron Ramsey £14m to Burnley.. currently injured.

Cameron Archer
The half season wonder clearly destined for premier league success 4 points directly attributable to his goals.. but unfortunately he was not out player and we couldn’t afford to buy him or offer him premier league football. The best striker in the championship last season? Might have been.. didn’t score in the playoffs tho. 11 goals and 11 hearts broken.

Chuba Akpom
Decided to pull his socks up last season rather than throw a football career down the toilet. Could have left for nothing in the summer but there were no takers. 8 points directly attributed to Chuba’s goals (would have left us 3 points off the playoffs) his goals meant we outscored Sheffield United and Luton Town who were promoted anyway.. again no goals scored on the playoffs.

A slide show of the 15 players that were so integral to us not getting promoted last season. Our best 4 players that weren’t even ours and two of which didn’t join until January. WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM!

Maybe we could get a brass band?

Perhaps a club statement with the five stages of grief..

  • denial.. they’ll chose boro
  • anger.. why didn’t we spend £60m
  • bargaining.. we should replace em
  • depression.. we’ve lost four games
  • acceptance.. we’re better off
