Sounds like there is more to this than she is saying. Antisocial behaviour? Someone coming out if this woman’s property to take the tent down and in but she’s doesn’t mention this?

And is it really news anyway?

It fits the template of someone having a go at the council. Doesn’t matter if the council have done anything wrong or not. Good for clicks and comments.

Why not put it on the back garden?

I'm sure he wasn't crying all night, and if he was then you shouldn't have put a tent up on grass land in the middle of the peaceful village that is central Thorn Abbey
