The irony being fat sam would have given us a much better chance of avoiding relegation if Gibson had appointed him instead of SouthgateJust think we could still have Sam Allardyce as England manager.

Can’t be arsed arguing with you -but if you want to - then remind me who won the trophy and were the best team on the night??Outwitted him to the extent it went to penalties?
It was a draw after 90 minutes and 120 minutes. If Mancini had outwitted Southgate, surely he'd have won the game without the need for penalties. Can’t be arsed arguing with you -but if you want to - then remind me who won the trophy and were the best team on the night??

Don’t agree.England were as good as Italy that night. They were about an inch from winning it, the ball missing Stones head by that distance in the last minute of extra time. Tiny margins sometimes.
How many seasons did he have us in the premier league? He was still shíte as manager for us
He was still shíte as manager for us
And irrelevantHarsh but fair
Nobody is questioning who won the penaltiesCan’t be arsed arguing with you -but if you want to - then remind me who won the trophy and were the best team on the night
After each defeat, Southgate has the team eat one of his waistcoats while he sings Amazing Grace. It gives them mental fortitude.Hello,
My names AET
I thought I’d come on here for an argument.
Oh and by the way I love Gareth Southgate. Bit limited as a tactician but wears lovely waistcoats. Brilliant England manager.
Ffs
Nobody is questioning who won the penalties
But expand on your statement of Mancini outwitting him...
See posts aboveAnd irrelevant
Take it easy, Aet.Hi all
If you are all having a go at me for being anti Gareth southgate then can you go and pick on someone else
All I pointed out was he lost the final
Last year. To a much more experienced manager. Who beat him.
Seriously - all had a few drinks have we? Looking to Pick a fight ???
Love from the gay guy who doesn’t believe in equality (not my words)
I'd agree but due to the reduction required I feel it was a bit of a poisoned chalice.I think his task was to do that without getting relegated to be honest.
Anyway, it really is irrelevant to what this thread is about.
As far as I'm aware no one's having a go at anyone. As with many threads on this board there's differences in opinion and I hope most people manage to express their opinions without being overly confrontational or targeting people.Hi all

Totally agreeWell if we DO get through on Saturday that settles all debates and anyone not behind him for the latter stages clearly just has a strange personal vendetta against him.
The hope and expectation is that he had learnt from that and developed his knowledge and is ready for it this timeMy only worry with this England team is when you think back to how Mancini outwitted him in the Euro final last year
Harsh but fair.
