Gareth Southgate given freedom of Middlesbrough

I always remember thinking when we signed him that he was another coming to milk our Club, because in my opinion he could have walked into any of the so called "Big Clubs" and the one he was at at the time is not exactly a little one, how wrong could I have been ?
Gareth gave a 100% effort every time he crossed the White Line.
What a Pro. what a CH, what a Captain and last but not least, what a Guy.
Over the Moon that he has been given the Freedom of The Boro.

I was wondering if he was [partly] responsible for bringing the England Euro 2020 warm-up games to the Riverside? Anyone know?

He said he wasn't, it was an FA decision and they'd wanted to host England matches in the North East for a while.

One of the two was originally meant to be in Newcastle too, but they had issues so both were moved to the Riverside.

He's not the only bloke to take over a decent squad and get his team relegated but it was still some achievement and I for one am glad it isn't being forgotten.

Well done Southgate.
