Well if he doesn’t then FairPlay to him. But all the talk is he’s going to Cardiff to build fitness and then retire after the World Cup. Who knows if it’s true but it’s talk that’s not going away.

If they’re up there I can’t see him walking away, as good as that would be for the rest of the division. His kids have been going on around schools in Cardiff this past week. He owns a bar opposite Cardiff Castle.

Apparently he's agreed to sign for Los Angeles FC in the MLS on an initial 12 month contract with an optional further 18 months according to The Athletic

Great move for him. Will continue to receive a fortune in wages, play in a league that he will presumably find pretty easy if he chooses to put the effort in, and get to live in a superb place/climate.

It’ll be purely for fitness, but a few players have moved to the US at the end of their career and expected to not have to run and been surprised at how difficult they find it.
I’m not expecting him to pull up any trees over there if he doesn’t apply himself.
