Fulham ticket details?

I would say there is some truth here, but to be honest we rarely sell out an away game.

Can anyone tell me which games sold out in 2019/20? before general sale or even in 2018/19 it must have been about 3 or 4 at most out of 23.

Last away game I went to before the pandemic was Brentford, which was sold out.

If we somehow get back in the PL, people are going to realise how awful this system is and how much younger fans get screwed by it.

I had to go for "best available" as every-time I put two specific seats in, it wouldn't allow me to go to the next step - I could see the numbers of available tickets going down rapidly so just plumped for two random ones.

Perhaps a tip to secure two tickets if the other 600 go on sale.

DCI - which group are the problem?

Or put it another way how would you distribute the 1000 Fulham tickets?
I don't see any group as a problem - the only problem is there will always be scenarios when there are less tickets than those that want them.

I don't have an answer as to how to sell them but if you've read all the comments in the post you will see that I think its right that those that have supported the club for consecutive seasons by buying a season ticket and putting money into the club should be prioritised but also that the system has to give some reward to those that buy home/away tickets/new season tickets.

Would we want to go back to the first come first served scenario where by someone going to the first away match gets a ticket at the expense of say a 10 year season ticket holder who has been to say 5-10 away games every season.

I really don't see what was wrong with that system, everyone had an equal chance.

If you want to go to every away game, buy an away season ticket.

If you want a home season ticket, buy a home season ticket.

A young supporter who's had a season ticket for 4/5 seasons and goes to 4/5 away games a season is just as deserving, the year they were born is not their fault.

Brentford when we lost 3-2 - I think went on general sale, then sold out.

Brentford has sold out to season ticket holders only when we have been in the top 6 and its not a mid week game, but some season the ticket are on general sale.

Millwall never sells out.

QPR is always on general sale, maybe with restricted view.

Fulham is like Brentford, but normally there is the neutral end.

Charlton our last away game with fans the tickets were on general sale, my brother went with his son and bought tickets on the day I think in the Boro end.

The London games are popular but Reading, Bristol City, Cardiff and Swansea nearly always ticket and WBA, Coventry and Birmingham in the Midlands.

I think its 50/50 there will be testing required or double Vacc evidence - OK the checkers may not check names on phones against ticket , but there is always some risk when people are transferring tickets. More so with the Covid changes.

As said yesterday this Fulham game is not a normal game, because of FFC building work, and return from lock down, new manager and players.

I hope you can pick up 1 of the 600 if they appear or if not get to most of the games you want to this season.

When I was working full time I missed a lot of games if tickets went on sale during the day etc or when I was working.

In 1997 I ended up having to pay £85 for a cup final ticket like £150 today for the Olympic Gallery, because that was all that was left. The tickets on gone on sale mid week and could only go on a Saturday. You had to buy a ticket in person at the Rivderside and I was 250 miles away. I had a season ticket at Ayresome Park and Riverside, being a Boro member since 1987, been to away games with 50 Boro fans there and it felt like 25,000 over night fans had jumped in front of me.

I have 168 points, and so broadly agree with you on all of that. I don't get to many home games because I don't live on Teesside, but that's one of the reasons I've kept my season ticket (even when living in the US) is so that I can have the best chance of getting tickets for the games I want.

My challenge is how the next generation of supporters can ever hope to get tickets for high demand games, if they're always behind the more senior generation simply because we've had our ST's longer.

I actually don't think there's a fair way of solving these type of problems, as peoples individual circumstances will always drive dis-satisfaction.
Whe I was a 'next generation supporter' I was down the pecking order for tickets and rightly so, that's the fairest way. The longest and most loyal followers get priority.

'just as deserving' wrong

But they are not selling any away season tickets. Some people will have them already but not selling any more. My mate asked at Ticket Office.

They're also not selling 3 year season tickets for home games (which they used to) which baffled me why they wont - it's not really much overhead with a decent gain.

I have lived in London and I know rents and house prices are very high. Often I put up with poorer accommodation or smaller accomodation that I would do say in the North e.g sharing a house in London opposed to having own place in the North. It does take a fair chunk of salary, but the average person is still better off than a living wage job on Teesside. The job opportunities for quality jobs are just so much more and it is possibe to live without a car in most areas of London.

I know a reasonable person would not pay £420 for a season ticket card and only use it say 5 or 6 times a season, ands rightly so, but a lot of us on here are not reasonable when it comes to following the Boro.... we have an addiction.

A few keen fans drove down to Plymouth from Teesside last week and back, to watch one friendly match that must have knocked £420 off the value of the car  !

Its not just Boro fans - I worked with a ex Pro footballer who brother in law supported Everton and lived in Liverpool. He had a season ticket for Everton. However he also bought a season ticket for Wigan Athletic. The main reason was so he was guaranteed to be able see Everton @ Wigan (who were also in the Premier League at the time). He did go to see some Wigan games if he was not going to a Everton game and Wgan season tickets were quite cheap. However that is the behaviour a reasonable person - hardcore football fans for yer :)

Season ticket prices will have to fall because they’re less attractive now there’s a closed shop. Maybe that’s the clubs strategy…more match day tickets at higher prices.
