Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes was crowned Men's Player of the Year at the FSA Awards with BeGambleAware, held online last Friday.

Fernandes was voted best player in the men's game and Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema won the Women's Player of the Year award for the second year running.

This year's awards were a bit different, for obvious reasons, and we paid tribute to those supporters, clubs and football figures who've gone the extra mile during the COVID-19 pandemic with our #LockdownHeroes categories.

Clapton CFC, The Dons Local Action Group, Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust, Chelsea Women FC, Fans Supporting Foodbanks & #Charity PPV were all recognised. Additionally, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford received a #LockdownHeroes special recognition award for his work on food poverty.

Other big award winners were The Times's Henry Winter, picking up Writer of the Year and Ian Wright who was voted by the public as the best pundit of the last 12 months. Henry said: "I hope when this pandemic is over fans get the treatment they deserve, because fans are the lifeblood of the game - I feel especially honoured to be named Writer of the Year."
