And I feel so flat about the club as a whole.

Hackney nearly out the door.
Azaz doesn’t fit the Edward’s narrative and will almost certainly be gone.
No right back.
Howson talks have gone quiet.(not that this matters too much)
Coburn has gone and really, we are left with 1 striker as Forss isn’t upto the grade as a top championship striker - effective from the right on occasions and that’s about it.

We have virtually no leadership in the team either. Desperate for leader types.

It feels underwhelming and I’m being kind with my language.
I’m sure that Scott et al are beavering away behind the scenes but progress is required chaps….

Feel the same. Had a dream the other night that we re-signed Dave Kitson. Think that nicely sums up where my expectations are for this season!!

Obviously will be backing the team and hope they prove me wrong. But just don't feel it at the moment.

I don't see the point in feeling flat until you actually know where we're at when the season starts
I'm quite positive - like the look of the coaching team and am interested to see what happens over the next few weeks.
It doesn't help that you're making stuff up to depress yourself e.g. "Azaz doesn't fit the Edwards narrative"

Is Hackney nearly out the door? Have you seen the interview with him? I wouldn't be surprised if he's still a boro player next season.
 
Well I am joyous ….

We have a streamlined and hungry squad

We have got rid of terrible loan signings

We have managed to keep hold of Barlaser

We have a sexy manager

We have a seasoned assistant manager, who looks stern but fair … and sexy in a “Daddy” kind of way

We have a new kit manufacturer making us the envy of world football

I could go on….

He wouldn't start at Palace though, unless they sell Wharton but I can't see that happening. Yes agree Porto clearly a massive step up, I think the big thing will be the price we are willing to sell him for.

I would tend to agree, although there's no guarantee that someone will actually make a firm/acceptable offer for him, certainly premier league clubs have a lot of potential options to choose from and the alleged Porto bid in january was miles off

100% the only clubs willing to pay what we value him will be in the Prem, Porto absolutely will not be able to afford what we value him at, so you're looking at prem clubs who may think that he's a risk and rather spend the cash on someone from a top flight league

There’s plenty of talk of how good this new coaching set up is and although I like what the two lads behind Edwards bring, I’m not convinced by him and feel he was the wrong appointment.

It seems we will have better players going out of the door than coming in and agree with @TeaCider, Hackney won’t be here much longer.

I previously said appointing Edwards was ripping the play book up and starting again and got shot down for it. I’m not seeing anything to change my mind and feel we’ve taken a backward step.

I do hope I’m wrong and are reminded about this post. It will mean we are making a go of it.

Don't know where to start with this one. It's the 9th of July there is no need to panic yet. If the situation is similar half the way through next month then I get the panic from OP but right now we've got to believe and hope they are going to get some business done soon. I'm sure things will be looking a lot rosier come the Swansea game in regards to incomings but the caveat is we also know there will be 1 or 2 significant outgoings. It's about getting the balance right.

I love how I'm known as the optimistic one now! How times have changed.
