Free Transfers Summer 2021

With talk of the gaffa keeping his eye on two players who are out of contract in the summer.. well what more excuse do I need to churn out a free transfer XI

GK - John Ruddy - Wolves - Free

RB - Darnell Fisher - Preston - Free
DF - Nat Philips - Liverpool - Free
DF - Jack Simpson - Bournemouth - Free
LB - Omar Richards - Reading -Free

RW - Jacob Murphy - Newcastle - Free
MF - John Lundstram - Sheffield Utd - Free
MF - Juninho Bacuna - Huddersfield - Free
LW - Demarai Grey - Leicester - Free

ST Dwight Gayle - Newcastle- Free
ST Christian Benteke - Crystal Palace - Free

a few names have been floating around the rumour mill with boro recently. Philips, Simpson, Murphy, Grey. if I had to guess which two Warnock has his eyes on I would go for Philips and Murphy. Whoever they were it sounded quite positive and if he’s talking about summer transfers now (a man after my own heart) then
surely that means another season with the boro!!
 
All huge earners Newy, can't see any of those players ending up here.
We need different tactics these days, Bola, Dikjsteel etc, and so far its working very well.
 
His Cardiff favourite Morrison is out of contract in the summer. Also Alex Mowett. They are both better in terms of wages.

Also Bolasie is clubless from July.

Nat Philips maybe..
I’m not for one minute suggesting that we sign that lot, the point could have just as easily been made using Jamie Vardy, Dele Ali as examples of players that can be signed with a short outlay.

Did he mention Morrison in one of the pressers? If we’re signing two or three players this Jan.. I’d like to think that we do that with one one on the premier league.
 
He’s talked Morrison up quite often but he’s never been prolific and only scored 7 in Cardiff’s promotion season . We definitely don’t need him .

You're forgetting 'The Warnock Effect' whereby players will forgo the trappings of short term financial gain in London for the opportunity of being immersed in an enhanced footballing experience under Warnock and the landed gentry feel of a north yorkshire country mansion. £20k a week at boro gets you a £100k a week footballer lifestyle

regardless where Benteke goes next, he will be on less than a third of that, so it's irrelevant what silly contract he is currently on. 9 goals in 3 1/2 seasons means you're gonna take a big wage hit when you get your next contract. He would be perfect for a Warnock CF though
 
Natt Phillips from the list
Murphy is no better than what we have .
Jack Clarke , Reiss Nelson , on loan would be good.
Alex Mowatt is also out of contract June.

Can you even afford the wages they'd like?

Realistic one is Bacuna and Richards that it. Barry Bannan is another player who is out of the contract would you or any Boro fans take him? He only will sign new contract BIG IF Tony Pulis is 'backed' for January transfer though.
 
I honestly think Gibbo will release a decent amount of money to Warnock in the summer to tempt him to stay even if we don't go up (assuming fans will be back next season). Look at his 4 major investments in the second division. Robbo - worked, Strachan - failed, Karanka - worked, Monk - failed. I think he trusts Warnock to get the right players and with a bit of money imagine what he could do? And I don't think Neilly boy will be able to resist. 🤞
 
Bolasie should be in early and I think he will , add natt Phillips to that and we will probably be all done . Fletch and brown will feel like new signings . Adding too many in January could disrupt what we have here . Surely a few goals extra from fletch could be the difference we need to finish in the playoffs or dare I say top 2 .
 
Don't get the whole Jack Clarke hype.

He's done nothing in the few loans he's had. Bielsa didn't play him and hardly a kick at QPR. He had a good half season and spuds blew 8mil on him.

I'm not sure he's done anything since he fell ill at the Riverside (pretty sure that was him?)
