Free beer......

I don't know if this is just me but if I don't like a brand of pretty much anything after trying it once, then that's it. Is it just me? Anyway, was out in Newcastle a good few years ago now and just for novelty value, I tried a brew dog 'special' thing they had in. It was about 11% - beer that had been brewed in a whiskey barrel. Putrid stuff - I don't do whiskey btw, can't even stand the smell. Anyway, after that, in my teeny-tiny mind they're forever associated with that drink, so I have avoided them! I'm sure they do decent beers, but....just, no!

An 11% beer brewed in a whisky barrel was rank. Who knew?! :)

That said, I agree with you... I haven't come across a Brew Dog product that I like. Definitely on the 'avoid' list for me.

I like several of the Brewdog offerings, and I dislike plenty too. However, as a brand I think they are fantastic. Yes it’s probably all just clever marketing, but they really do try to be a responsible company, creating a forest in Scotland, whereby they plant a tree for every share they sell. They’ve made a carbon negative lager, have publicised such things as period tax, and alsorts of other good stuff. As a company, I think they genuinely try to make a difference and the world would probably be a better place if more outfits were like them.

Edit -

Carbon negative company -

They've also made serious offers for their pubs to be taken over as vaccination centres 👍

Punk I.P.A. is my canned beer of choice.
Some pubs make a mess of it as it on draught as it has a slight haze,, which they seem to think gives them licence to serve it cloudy.
I get a bit of a discount being a minor shareholder, but that does not impact on my taste buds.

I did, the queue was a bit of a pain, but its all legit, but had to pay 1.95 p&p
Yes same - I was going to order some more whilst I was there but they have some delivery charges per order - was £4.95 for delivery if I wanted just another 4 cans so I just stuck with the freebie!
