Frank Lampard Sacked

Everton have been a toxic club for a number of years now. Even the Ancellotti revival lasted until January and they went from 4th to 10th. James Rodriguez started on fire and then wilted and broken. They have lived under the shadow of their neighbours bearing grudges.

I do hope they go down this season.

Would be absolutely delighted if they went down.
Hope they don`t get the new manager bounce.

My hate for them stems back to 1990-91, a very significant date in English footballing history.

Can’t see Lampard managing a club side again. Had by far and away the best squad at Derby, broke FFP and failed to get them up. Had Chelsea very inconsistent, Tuchel comes in and wins the CL with the same squad. Utterly dreadful at Everton. Awful manager.

Can see him getting England u21s.

Frank Lampard & Steven Gerrard are just younger versions of Mark Hughes & Steve Bruce

Nice piece by Barney Ronay, definitely not one of Franky Lamps 'pals in the press'.🙂

"His appointment at Derby seemed to spring out of a star-struck chairman and his uncle Harry’s habit of ringing people up and telling them to give his nephew a gig. Club legend status got him the Chelsea job, and plenty of rope as Roman Abramovich lost interest. At Everton his record has been what you might expect of a bright and hyper-confident star name who is basically unqualified for the role."

Ouch! 😁

The problem they have is that the place is toxic.

Regardless of a new manager the hatred for the board will still be there and it will be a tinder box just waiting to go up in flames on the back of a couple of bad results.

I can see the board giving it to Big Dunc as they may be able to use him as a kind of a go between for the club and the fans.
Agreed.

Jamie Carragher summed the situation at Everton up perfectly on Monday Night Football last night.
