Middlesbrough's Grant Hall celebrates scoring his side's first goal at Coventry
Marcus Bettinelli - 6

Quiet evening overall with Boro's defence superb

Djed Spence - 5

Didn't really seize his chance having come back into the side

Anfernee Dijksteel - 7

Was the legs for his two defensive partners and was solid. Unfortuante for the own goal.

Dael Fry - 8

Brilliant at the back. On the end of everything Coventry City put into Boro's box in a dominant performance.

Grant Hall - 8

Like Fry, he was so aerially dominant and solid at the back and scored his first Boro goal which was a crucial equaliser

Marc Bola - 6

Kept usually the lively Fankaty Dabo quiet throughout. Didn't influence much at the other end, though did almost tee up Howson to score at the end of the first half.

Paddy McNair - 6

Wasn't able to control the game as Boro may have liked in the middle but his first-half set-piece got Boro back in it.

Jonny Howson - 8

A moment of inspiration as he run from one side on the box to the other before linking with Marvin Johnson and setting up the winner. Much-improved second half after a tough first.

Neeskens Kebano - 6

One of Boro's attacking bright sparks. Even in a long-ball first half he desperately tried to find space, have the ball at feet and be positive.

Marcus Tavernier - 6

Struggled to have much influence before going off injured.

Chuba Akpom - 5

Difficult evening. No shortage of effort but was often too isolated and ineffective to deal with long balls.

Subs

Marvin Johnson (For Bola 74') - Early sloppy moment almost put Dabo in but then played a crucial role in the winning goal - 7

Yannick Bolasie (For Kebano 74') - Lively when he come on though missed a late chance - 6

Duncan Watmore (For Akpom 74') - Forced Coventry back with his pace on the break - 6

George Saville (For Tavernier 85') - Scored the winner with virtually his first touch and almost set-up Bolasie for another. Not a bad five minutes - 7
