I was looking through the list of users on line now and there are lots of robots on at the moment

A few from google, some from Google Ad sense and a handful from Bing. Neer noticed them before, must be scouring for where to place adverts I guess

We also have "pretend boro fans" who are actually political lobbyists ... we have at least one a day tries to sign up. We usually spot them but occasionally one will slip through and the first thing they do is go to a political thread and post with a right of centre agenda. They never even visit football threads. They are among the guests.

How do I delete a thread?

Would this be the manaboutadog/Colinallcars/brucerioja etc character that appeared over and over again on the old site, for years? I could never understand why he went through the bother of reregistering over and over again. He became easy to spot and always threw the ‘multiple username’ accusation back at those who called him out on it.

Are those the jobs that come up as social media influencers by any chance?

There are loads of political shills around on social media, you see them on facebook all the time, the gazette comments section has loads of them, and naturally they will find their way to anywhere regular people post online and the more anonymous they can be the better.

I remember Paul Williams getting slated by some people on his first election campaign, rally laying into some of his historical career decisions, and someone pointed out they all lived in London and went to Eton. Someone else looked them up on LinkedIn and they were interns at the conservative party. So they literally had lackeys in London going around social media pulling away at candidates acting as if they were normal people.

Then you get the activists like SmoggyRainbow. Best thing I ever did was sending the gazette journo's a link to his old post history when he became councillor. Vile person.

It's a pretty much constant assault at the moment. Cummins' bots.
