Very much a striker who ‘knows where the goal is’ isn’t heLove the way Marcus regularly gets his shots on target. He would have scored a couple of more in the last two matches if not for very good saves by the keepers. Possibly even a different result at Sunderland if his shot early on had not been saved.
It was one last desperate throw at the dice from a desperate man.Wilders biggest sin was trying to con the boro public that’s their team wasn’t good enough to compete in a league we regularly fight promotion in.
Some of us knew this was wrong and tried to counter this view but many believed his negative spin.
Aye, but there's different levels of it. Wilder won't get as much of it as the whinging Scottish ginge for example. Or the Monk. But he'll get much more than say AK or Robbo that's for sure.No doubt.
Lots of bitterness on here towards ex-players and managers.
Some of which I just can't understand.
I don't think it's bitterness as such, I have fond memories of many boro managers; AK, Mogga, Bruce, Southgate, to name the obvious. Not sure why we have to treat previous managers like an ex who ran off with your brother and took the dog with her.
Wilder, like all those before him, had his own ideas and for a while he produced some fabulous football and results.
Pound to a penny that some will be sniping at Carrick in the future when fortunes inevitably change.

It's all about levels. It was certainly fabulous to watch compared to Pulisball. Next to Carrick's brand of entertainment thus far...not so much.Well I’d disagree on that point. It was mostly turgid stuff… slow passing from one side of the pitch to the other through the back 3, repeat x 10 until you can play a wing back in
The football under Carrick is on another level

He believed if he could convince Boro fans that the squad wasn't good enough for promotion it would buy him more time, and he could ride with the narrative of it being a long-term plan.
yeah but he did throw the lad under the bus without giving him a chance, which I believe was engineered to keep the fans divided against the board to support him to get an expensive striker in, sure if he got his way he would of worked with the so called development players as well, but when he never got them he doubled down on what he didn't have rather than use what he did have, he got very lucky with akpom turning his career around when he didNot sure why we have to treat previous managers like an ex who ran off with your brother and took the dog with her.

I'm certain I saw people when he was linked and signed bring up stats that said exactly that from his previous run in the championship too, so wasn't a unknown factor too, which made the development tag even more laughableForss' finishing is at another level. His goal on Saturday wasn't the the result of just shooting to the goal, he had the ball under control, sold a dummy to the centre back and goal keeper then placed the ball into the net. All done in a blink of an eye. I've notice a few of his other goals aren't the result of smashing the ball towards the goal, he sets up his shot very well. Quite a find imho.
They are right though.Go fk yourself
It's just perfect technique. I don't think you can really teach that. You can coach and refine it to a point but for some players it just comes naturally. Forss is obviously one of them. Will sound a daft comment as he's a professional footballer, but it's impressive how accurately and hard he can kick the ball with no back lift and seemingly very little effort!
If I remember correctly, the Brentford fans really rated him...I'm certain I saw people when he was linked and signed bring up stats that said exactly that from his previous run in the championship too, so wasn't a unknown factor too, which made the development tag even more laughable
