Forss

Another great finish today. He’s starting to make that position his own. He’s probably the most natural finisher we have.

One of my favourites parts of today was in the 1st half when he made a tracking run on Sarr, then crashed into a well timed tackle 30 yards from our goal.

His work rate is excellent, and considering he’s generally played up front so far in his career, he’s adapted very well. Not surprised he went off when he did today. Looked precautionary (fingers crossed) Must have been nackered after that shift!

His energy levels are fantastic. Early in the first half he tracked back and put in a brilliant tackle then instantly bounced back up and was looking to play a part in a counter attack.

As a player he never stops working so deserves every break he gets.

Keep it going Marcus!!

He is fine in that right hand side, as Carrick says he has played it before. I just think he was suffering having Crooks as the main striker. With the more mobile Archer in there Forss looked excellent.

Like the other forward players, Carrick seems to be getting more out of him than we have seen before. OP is correct, he looks like a natural finisher - and while Chuba has quite rightly been getting the plaudits, Forss is also in a rich vein of goalscoring form.

He puts in a real shift as well.

Simply not good enough.... I'd rather we signed Gayle or Mcgoldrick. Oh my names Chris by the way.

Jokes aside. How he couldn't get a kick under Wilder as a 'development' forward is baffling. He's 23 and cost 2mil. I'd say already looking a bargain in a world where we bought Braithwaite / Fletcher and Britt. I mean for a start he grafts.

Twice the player Connally was.

He’s made that position his own for me, I’m sure he’d love to be playing as the main striker but he offers much more than just goals. As said his work rate is superb and he doesn’t seem to moan or complain if things aren’t going his way, just keeps trying.

Under Carrick in the Championship, his record is superb: 13 games, 5 goals and 3 assists. Keep it up and he'll be comfortably in double-figures for goals by the end of the season. Not bad for a "development striker" who hardly played for 1/4 of the season.
