Forss messing with the pelanty spot...

It's a fair point like, but I think scuffing the pelanty spot up before someone takes one is taking it to another level...

I don't like it, leaves a bad taste in the mouth and if I was manager I would fine and drop the player for doing it. Its down to personal standards 👍
Pelanty isn't funny, even if you repeat it a couple of times. Unless of course you're involving Chris Waddle in the discussion.

Apologies if you think that is how it is actually spelt.

Disagree, as mentioned on the VAR thread, there's simply far too much at stake financially these days to not try to take every single advantage you can get. Particularly in the "grey areas" where refs either aren't clamping down or it's not specifically covered in the rule book. Morally dubious perhaps but I'd take promotion over a fair play award any day of the week.

Probably got told what happened from his assistants?

Rightly booked too.

It's up there with diving.

Disgusting behaviour.

I find it all a bit tricky really.
Everyone is trying to gain an advantage by cheating

An appeal for a throw in, you get the decision unfairly and score from the move?
is that worse than a dive or a scuff of the penna spot?

Call everything what it is ‘cheating’ and treat accordingly.

I literally couldn’t disagree more.

Except that this particular kind of action is specifically covered in the laws. It's considered to be "making unauthorised marks on the field of play" and is listed as a mandatory caution in Law 1 - The Field of Play.

A player who makes unauthorised marks on the field of play must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour.

Fair enough, my bad - some others aren't though.

As I said before, his mistake was getting caught ;)

That's exactly what it is, unsporting behaviour...!!!
Perhaps next time he could let some air out of the ball or tie Stewart's laces together...
It's embarrassing 😡

I’m not sure how you can scuff up the penalty spot without getting noticed frankly.
That's why teamwork is so important in shithousing. While Forss is scuffing the penalty spot Steffen should be holding onto the ball and causing an argument, distracting the referee.

The time between the referee blowing his whistle for the foul and the penalty being scored is less than 90 seconds. Completely unacceptable. There's no pushing and shoving. No one goes down clutching their face. There are no Chinese burns or nipple tweaks. For a team coached by Neil Warnock only a few months ago this is completely unacceptable.

Personally I think we need to appoint a shithousing coach. Someone like Lee bowyer or Craig Bellamy. I fear that Carrick's the sort of chap who will have the squad out litter picking rather than having them doing afternoon sessions to brush up on their diving.
