Forest Spending big

Forest are signing Dennis from Watford for 20m today.

This takes their total transfer money so far to £113m, and apparently they are not finished yet.
They also have signed players on loan.
God knows how much the wages will be.

What a gamble, have they not learned from Derby.

If they've factored in wage drops if they get relegated then it might not be such a huge risk. Plus, they would argue it gives them a chance of staying up.

However, it would make me feel a little uneasy.

Is it much of a gamble if a club builds in relegation reductions into players’ contracts ?
Norwich received the lowest Premier Payments with nearly £100 Million on finishing bottom of the league. Parachute payments then can be counted for at least 1 more season.

Fair play to them. Wish we gave it a proper go when we where up there.
Well we bought a new team, but most of the players weren't good enough for the PL. So we kind of had a go......

Be interesting how Forest do, usually buying so many players in one window doesn't end well. Cooper has a lot of players and egos to manage and get a whole new team to gel very quickly.

It's weird with them. They got promoted then arguably lost 2-3 of their best players.

I'm very surprised both Spence and Garner didn't go back on perms. I know Spence basically said it was spurs or nothing. Yet I feel a move to forest would have seen far more game time. I read Garner wanted to challenge at UTD... Good luck with that. He won't get a kick.

So they are giving it a go. To be fair the owners are wedged. It's nice to see them giving it a go. A few clubs fans are no doubt looking in feeling very jealous.

Mostly good signings with a high resale value, even if they go down they won’t loose money on them
