Forest spend more than 100 million on 15 players

Massive risk IMHO. Could all go very badly if they can't gel and don't stay up. If and when we get a promotion I cant see us taking that kind of risk.
Has all those years outside the top flight made Forest dizzy. Or is it that those 2 European cups in the trophy room making them think they are really back in the big time.

I much prefer the Burnley/Norwich/Fulham model where the parachute payments can fund a good CShip campaign next time around.

There's a good chance that betting the farm might actually work for them if Everton have another bad season and end up in the quagmire with the promoted teams. A few clubs might be sucked in who haven't been able to strengthen their squads sufficiently.

The true danger is that they pull it off and other teams come up, try to copy Forest and detonate their finances like Derby.

They, like all promoted clubs need as many points as poss by xmas, because after that yer sussed out , if they go wrong it will be a hell of a expensive gamble & be stuck with loads on big bucks, who have not cut the PL

could you pick three teams to go down right now based on current results and performance? Wolves, Everton and Bournemouth are my three as they also don't have the buying capacity to get away from relegation.

Id go Bournemouth Southampton and Leicester (They have not bought anyone)

My bet would be Bournemouth, Forest and one of Everton/Southampton/Leeds. Those three need a new striker so whichever ones get the best ones will stay up. Lampard/Hassenhuttl/Marsch most likely to win the sack race.

Think Fulham will finally manage to survive. Forest I have because gutting a successful team can backfire and getting all the new players to play well together can be difficult. Fulham tried it in the past and went straight back down. Could work though so who knows?

I quite like it, they're not going to die wondering.

I think the players they're bringing in as well are quite good and largely proven with potential to get loads better, or at least keep their value. They're not dropping 120k a week on past it players, there's some really good signings in there.

I'd be well happy with all those signings if we got promoted, perhaps not in those numbers but individually they're all good.

Obviously a risk with 15 new signings. But as mentioned above they were six short anyway with their loans and Djed Spence not re-signing.

Also, and this is one with relevance for us - it makes a bit of a mockery of the idea that the market is logjammed and no-one can get players in until the big clubs start moving. Forest don't seem to be having any problems.

Now they've showed a bit of ambition they're starting to attract some really decent players too. Aouar and Sow are two of the most promising young players in Ligue One / Bundesliga, those two and Dennis from Watford were linked with big clubs. Some of these signings I thought would be more of the profile of top 10 clubs, not sure Forest could have attracted them if they hadn't brought in some quality first. It's interesting, players either are excited to be part of it or they're just paying insane money.

I think being excited about the project is just something players say as 'I'm here for the money of course' is frowned upon.
