Foreign Holiday?

Any one booked or planning? We are drawing a line this year, even though we have accommodation pre booked in greece, just can't see any sense in risking it. Were hoping some progression occur as we have a major family event to attend in Southern Germany in late November but even then we would go by train to avoid the whole airport / airplane thing that appears as far away from social distancing. We just don't feel this " thing" he really gone away in any real sense. Are you comfortable traveling with your family ?

We have had our holiday booked since last year and are just waiting to be allowed into France without the 14 day quarantine and then we are good to go - 6 weeks in France. (y)

We stay in our own caravan and will be able to use our own facilities. The only difference we should see will be around, cafe's, bars and restaurants. We have got our masks at the ready.

Really fancy going to Crete, but I think I'll wait until normality has resumed a bit more.

Hate big crowds, and don't think I'd enjoy it without bars and restaurants being fully open, so I think I'll have to wait till next year to get the balance right.

Hope you get there Norman, sounds fantastic 👍

Other than a possible weekend break or two in the UK we've written off this year and the first half of 2021. Looking forward to some normality next summer.

We have been going there the last 11 years, with the last 5 years in the same place. We are in spitting distance of a lake that is really shallow on our side and great to swim in - this will allow us to avoid the pool. I have a rubber dinghy with an electric motor that allows us to get to the other side. The wife sits and sunbathes whilst I sit and fish for hours. It is just so peaceful.

Snap. Possibly a week in the Peak District in summer, son is 18 in October so maybe somewhere else in the UK for a few days as well, but really can’t see us travelling outside the UK until summer 2021 - at the earliest.

We have a Villa booked in the Canaries at the end of August. Taxi to and from the airport but still undecided. If I cancel I lose £2500.

Seriously- It sounds idyllic. have a great time.

Flights booked mid July to our place in the canarie, hopefully we’ll make it, prob stay a month or so and see how things pan out (y)(y)

I want to get out o our place in Lapland but the sheer lunacy of the UK's quarantine policy may get in the way.

fingers crossed for ferry crossing to Santander on 14th July.
cabin booked so it all feels safe
Short drive to south west France and........ relax, cycle, relax, wine for 3 weeks.

Probably go cycling with mates in Switzerland in August, and then attend the TDF in September.

Supposed to be going to Spain in August with my brother and his family, and my parents, but probably postponing that until next year.

Really hoping we can do our usual Thanksgiving / Mrs Jumpers birthday trip to New York which is our way of kicking off the festive season.
