Football should carry health warnings when sold

over the years the NFL has tried to adopt better safety requirements for its players but with players running at breakneck speeds it’s almost impossible to avoid head injuries. While players in the NFL don’t head the ball the random situations in the game mean that players come into contact with other players more frequently due to the speed and random running routes — I don’t see this being any different in football so players have to know the risks of playing and decide for themselves if it’s right for them. Quite a few players in the NFL have given the game up due to the risks of head injury — and while the officials can limit the risks by ensuring that robust tackles are punished I don’t think they can take out the random situations otherwise we’ll (probably) have a totally boring game. Heading a ball still can be practiced using a sponge ball maybe 🤔 but heading the ball is one of those random things that players IMO must take into consideration during the game. I believe players are given options of wearing head gear but most players decide not to. Moreover studies have suggested that the new ball design does lower the risk of head injuries but it doesn’t completely negate it but these are known risks— much like any risks the job description should be full and complete and the known health and safety risks be understood by the player.
