Football pools round.

Did anyone on here have a Pools round. Did it for Vernon’s pools for three years.

Christmas was the best time. 3 weeks collected in one and all the Xmas tips.

funnily enough i was talking about this last night with my dad. There was a guy from Thornaby who used to ride around on his bike collecting the pools. well known all over Thornaby and Ingleby back in the day. He always looked mega old to me when he used to pop in, sure he wore a flat cap as far as i can remember.

Imagine these days some old bloke on a bike with 100's of quid in his basket riding around. wouldn't last 2 minutes!!

I'm sure the woman I was collecting for as a teenager pocketed some of the money. I had a small round in Doggie although I lived in Park End.
