What's the best all round dining experience you've ever had. Not necessarily the finest or the most expensive, but just that overall Wow?

Took the other half here for our 20th anniversary. One of the most stunning locations for a restaurant. The food was very cheffy, and very nice and the wine list was, let's just say, euromillions.

This place in Victoria BC. Great food and the chefs put on a great show as they make your meal.
Probably not the most upmarket place in the world, but I've eaten in some high class places and been disappointed by the fare on offer.

This question is something that I might give different answers to at different times dependent on mood.

This place was such a lovely romantic setting and a beautiful candle lit meal to boot. The atmosphere on a warm summers moonlit evening with the sea gently lapping in the background was joyous and evokes special memories

Tambakio, St.Pauls Bay, Lindos

Looks great. Got a feeling this thread might give me a list a mile long to tick off. Just what I was hoping for. Cheers Dood

Wow, what spot 👀

Restaurant at the Shangri-la hotel on Orchard Road, Singapore, steak to die for, however, you need deep pockets to be able to afford it.

Another favourite is the Hogfish in Key West, amazing scran!

I'm not a foodie at all, but me and my wife regularly reminisce about a specific buttermilk chicken burger we had in Downtown San Francisco (near Union Square) in 2017. It came very hyped up from the reviews, and fully lived it up to them. I couldn't say the same about the Irish coffee place everyone tells you to go to.

Moro or St John

Moro is very good - St John in West Smithfield is an interesting one. Great if you like offal and an unusual menu which isn't for everybody.

Rogan's restaurant in Cartmel - L'Enclume is one of the best Ive been to. A treat from start to finish.

Went earlier this year to Brigadiers in The City of London where the Indian food is incredible.

A nod to Beverleyred, I've eaten there and it is superb, as is the Shangri-La in Bangkok.
However, I've been to the Shaha in Carlisle quite a few times and can honestly say the food is just unbelievably good. My missus is from Carlisle, and she doesn't see what all the fuss is about.... I'll stand by it though. I've eaten Indian food all over the UK and the world and it is fantastic- every time.

We had a meal in the restaurant attached to a goats cheese farm in the Loire Valley that was fantastic. Can't for the life of me remember where it was exactly, but having four courses of goats cheese dishes was an experience. It was very rustic, next to a stream with an old wooden waterwheel attached to the building.
No good if you don't like goats cheese mind.
