Looks like on the 6Music thread there's a few of us into jazz, so spinning off a separate thread for recommendations.
My current listens, none of which are particularly challenging or experimental :-
1) Martin Freeman & Eddie Pillar present Jazz on the corner 2 (Compilation from Acid Jazz chief and renowned jazz fan Tim from The Office)
2) We Out Here - Various (Collection of new British jazz from Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recording label)
3) Moses Boyd - Dark Matter (More UK Jazz)
4) Chet Baker Sings ( Just because it's probably my favorite jazz album of all time)
