Or Restaurants that have some decent fish dishes within half an hour or so of Middlesbrough?

I'm looking for things like a Swordfish Steak, Red Snapper etc.

Does anyone know of anywhere?

I've not been for a while, I think food was just above normal, but wine quite expensive (albeit it was very good wine).

Not really the time of year and it's about an hour but Riley's Fish Shack at Tynemouth is probably the best fish meal I've ever had.

It’s quite small inside and very popular, which is why it’s booking only. Can highly recommend it.

In middlesbrough the vine normally does decent fish options, their lobster and steak sharing board is excellent, further afield reilys at tynemouth or their new place in Newcastle are excellent too

Another shout for Rileys fish shack in Tynemouth. It is further than you want but its definitely worth it.
