The greed of the wealthy few takes precedent over the needs of the majority. It reflects the way the country is.Think they are trying to reduce matches due to the amount of teams that will be in the CL next year. I dont think it leaves a free week for it to be done over two legs or to have replays in the fa cup
No. People will criticise it but I think it is probably a good thing for a team like Boro tbh. It is good for the “big 6” too because it means they are playing less games in a tournament they aren’t as bothered about winning as the PL, FA Cup, CL, Europa League or Conference League. I can’t really see who loses out here.Is that a bad thing? Gives less fancied teams more of a chance doesn't it?
Gives clubs an extra chance to play at Wembley though. But it may not be totally ridiculous to just have home & away. If we drew, say Everton, at home and it was one leg for a crack at the final I’d really fancy our chances. More so than if we drew them at Wembley or Old Trafford with 50% allocations.Semi finals should be at neutral grounds instead of Wembley.
Dont Boro want the chance to beat the opposition twice ?!I prefer the semi final to be one leg. Pity it's not this season.
Well, it is, but I think there are rare occasions where that might actually benefit us and this could be one of them. Its all about £££££££ as always.........(n)
I’d also add that the new Champions League format actually sounds better to me. But that might just be because I am totally bored of and absolutely hate the current format.Well, it is, but I think there are rare occasions where that might actually benefit us and this could be one of them.
We have more of a chance over one leg and a shootout against the PL teams IMO.Dont Boro want the chance to beat the opposition twice ?!
Its ours this year Colin.
So long as its not both games at Wembley?
:(
