The 4th innings is generally harder due to a wearing pitch. Not sure this pitch is going to deteriorate that much either.

Decent spell after Tea. Foakes has batted very well. Stokes was looking good until that shot but that’s the way he plays.

Agreed. I defintely don't think we are a shoo in, but if we bowl well under the lights, we really should have enough.

Yeah I feel much better now. At Tea when Root went with a lead of 250 I thought the game was in the balance.

Thinks it’s swung back in our favour now. Been another great Test Match so far!
 
Foakes is showing how good this wicket is not taking any risks but still scoring at a good rate. NZ have a good batting lineup so not ruling them out if we can’t take wickets under the lights.

We are just great to watch. It annoys the hell out of me when Stokes gets himself out for 30 etc...but I think we have to accept, the advantages of going at 6 an over regularly far outweigh the negatives ☺

Yeah, completely agree.

I have to taper my natural reaction when I see some of the dismissals.

Still learning to live with this new mindset. At times it’s not going to work and it’ll look awful but it’ll be a small price to pay for some of the brilliant cricket we’ve watched and will watch in the future.
 
Good to see England doing well, only not against us 🤣🤣

I do think that 50% of sport is played between the ears
