First Home Game - Post Covid Restrictions

It will be a gradual return, however if it was a full blown return it must be a full house surely.

Sorry just dreaming of a brighter time.
I think when fans are allowed in every ground in the country will be full, maybe for awhile after the initial game

Cannot wait for it to be back.

Loved the Bournemouth match even though I was virtually sat by myself in the corner.

I'm looking forward to going to a game, I'm hoping as the fall in Covid escalates we're in a position to open the turnstiles locally over the summer, with non league friendlies, even maybe a local tournament or two taking place.

Clubs are going to struggle to pay players as they did in the past I would imagine, it will be interesting to see if they still want to kick a ball if they're not getting their usual £50, £100, £150 a game.

Not sure, think a lot of people have been turned off sport
I hope not.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket to Quins last year when they had their one and only match. Despite having a crowd of 3000 and being split from the rest of the guys it felt so good to be back. You don't realise how much you miss it until you get back to it.

Due to watching so much of it maybe. I've struggled with how poor the Boro have been to watch with their negative approach to games but impressed by the way some clubs are knocking the ball about and their approach to the game.

To be honest I'm starting to turn off from sport and football in general and I know lots of people in the same boat. It will take some time for people to buy back into it. Many people will still be scared to leave their homes.

I won't. As soon as restrictions are lifted I'll be back at the stoop.

Even tempted to head to the Brentford community stadium to take in any games I can there. I'm really missing going to sports. It's tough watching the 6 nations from home.

Well I hope you're not going to be spreading the virus whilst you do it and don't forget your mask and no singing will be allowed for quite some time.

Well that’s a miserable post.
To be clear last time I went to a match there were only a few thousand in a 15000 seater stadium. We all sat socially distanced and YES of course we all wore masks.
You seem to have made the mistake of thinking I’m going to go to a match this weekend. I did say when restrictions eased. Still props for you (to bring in another thread) of falling for the government propaganda of blaming each other for Covid.

Well it is spread by people being around each other singing and talking and sharing saliva droplets. It would be wholly irresponsible to return to the stadiums and undertake such behaviour.

The virus isn't going to disappear with vaccines and you will still need to adhere to the rules. Just making sure you're aware.

I can’t believe I have to say this again but what are you not getting about “when restrictions are lifted”. Are you deliberately ignoring it or would you like me to draw you a picture???

I think more have been turned on to it during the lockdowns. It's not like there has been much else going on.

It's one of the few aspects of life that has continued during the pandemic, and I do believe it's been an important release and diversion for many during the last year.

Whether those following it now are interested in going to a stadium or just watching it on TV, I don't know. However, I'd think a fair few will be interested in attending a few live matches.

It wouldn't even be going to the match that would be my favourite part, it would be the waking up on a Saturday morning, knowing you were going to the game, the pre-game breakfast, walking down to the pub to meet your mates for a couple before a late rush to the ground. The build up is always better than the main event!

I can see full houses all over the country TBH, just to be at a live event
I can see people not wanting to return, maybe some fans needed an excuse to stop going & now they can't attend its made up their minds for them, but in the whole sell outs

My son & I were talking the or her day, he had a season ticket growing up then found other stuff he's more interested in, like his music, though he still follows the Boro & still a fan, he recently said to me, when crowds are allowed dad I'd like us to go to a game, have a beer then walk to the ground, Yea I'd like that son

Even when lifted the virus will still be here. Just don't be irresponsible and make sure you respect others and don't spread your bugs.
