FInancial Fair Play and Covid

Have there been any concessions or talk of amendments to FFP rules in light of the continuing covid crisis.

given teams do not know their likely revenue as they don’t know what gate receipts will be this season yet still have to bring in players before the window closes.

has anyone seen anything suggesting that FFP Rules maybe more flexible this season?

It's a good point FatCat. The whole idea(by and large) is that your outgoings don't exceed your incomings. But if you're incomings are severely compromised yet you still have fixed cost outgoings how does FFP work?

Let’s see what happens. I guess not many teams are heavily splashing the cash anyway but even some teams to meet their existing commitments must have been budgeting based upon normal gate receipts, which will now not be forthcoming.

But it would surely be in no ones interests if clubs were to spend beyond their means in terms of transfers or wages. That could spell an even quicker spiral into debt for clubs at this time when they have more limited income than before and uncertainty about the future.

It's a free pass in the champions League this season. That's why Chelsea have spent 200 million.

No doubt next season in the championship will be decided by lawyers just as this one has.
