Feedback on new site thread

We have just signed up an agreement with a new commercial partner - someone I found by writing to other Xenforo sites - this just happened this week. So, things will start to change as we listen to their advice and experience. We are now committed to moving over but as I earned only £45 for the whole of March from this site then I have to keep one foot in the other site until these changes start to show an impact. As payments are a month or so behind that £45 figure might actually be less for April - that is the way the traffic is looking. So, yes it isn't great income wise from either site. I have deleted a couple of people from the old site this week.

I know there is an ignore button for individuals but is it possible to do the same for threads, e.g. if there's a thread you have no interest in to save it appearing in the front page list?
I think it is a 3rd party add-on rather than something that is built in. Not sure though.

I suggested this the other day on another thread. borolad said he felt it was not needed.

You need to make them under 1mb in size. Any larger and it can cause the site to slow up. You need to resize with photoshop of something else like that. There are apps to resize on your phone also.

On Windows 10 there is now a thing called Microsoft PowerToys. This is a revamp of an old thing on pre-release at the moment. It includes a photo resizer that you can use via a right click.

The Image Resizer was previously released separately so is stable software. You can see details here: https://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/

Once installed you can create a smaller (or larger but fuzzier) copy of a photo by right clicking on the image. Then selecting the size you want. The different sized photo is created in the same folder as the original. You can them rename it if you wish.

I've unticked my preferences to receive emails on threads I post to but I'm still getting them. How do I stop them or am I going to have to set up a rule in my email app to send them to junk?

There's an overall email option under account settings - did you uncheck that?
