Feedback on new site thread

Is there any chance we could have cut-and-paste disabled on editing posts so that you don't have to read 4 pages of the Guardian or Huff' Post before the poster has actually attempted to make a point of their own?
If you don't like reading a sizeable thread, the solution is easy - just don't.

What's wrong with posting a link? Surely that's more helpful than lazily blapping pages of text on a thread.

because the link will contain non relevant information to the discussion, pasted text can be targeted and not bother with adverts etc, sometimes info may be behind a paywall too

Starting to.have a problem on android phone with ads opening up and obscuring posts. Anyone else getting this?

We have managed to trace the problem - and are now trying to get it fixed. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Sometimes I click on the side adverts (fat thumb) by mistake
It wipes out all tabs open in safari - annoying

Part of the reason for the problem today is carrying out work that google have asked for to try and prevent people clicking on adverts by mistake and that sort of thing. I don't see how you can ever prevent people like you and me messing up with our thumbs though.

Cheers Rob

Has this just started as we corrected the earlier error last week - and everyone previously reporting it said it was OK.
If it has just started could you please provide a screen shot. Is that Windows 10?

Well that's worked well - great big blank half of the screen and everything squashed to the right - Chrome / Windows 10

(Circular avatars are rubbish as well)

The builders were in this morning. Sorry you don't like circular avatars - got to admit back at the start of the site everyone posted before I could press the setting no avatars - there is always one spoilt sport. ...

This is probably not the correct thread to ask you this Rob, but have you seen a significant increase in traffic on this site since the old one has officially hung up its boots?

Oh to be honest I haven't checked. I will have a look later.
I was hoping to retrieve all the content but although it looks like that is possible we cannot find anyway of loading up to a xenforo site - other than cut and paste - which could take a long, long, long time. I wonder if anyone at all has any ideas.
