Favourite City in the UK

Newcastle as I've worked there a lot of the time over the last 15 years, so I know it and the surrounding area very well.
Liverpool, I love the buildings and the people
London, there so much to see and it has strange atmos cant quite say what it is?
Saying that I spent years travelling between cities and stopping in them only 3 or 4 days at a time and then home. I couldn't live in one for free, I'm a town clown or a village idiot.

I'm intrigued why everyone likes Brighton so much? I'm NOT saying I dont like it.... but am intrigued as to why its so popular?

I'm the absolute complete opposite ..... I too lived in Newcastle for a few years and never saw the attraction - sweeping generalisation but I found the people so far up their own backsides with how wonderful "the Toon" was, it was painful

Ditto Liverpool - especially the arrogance of the locals and how Liverpool is somehow "different"

Favourite Cities - Leeds, York and Manchester

If I have to name one it's London but I love cities and most of those mentioned already are great but not a huge fan of Manchester and Liverpool

I'm a fan, lots of diversity /alternative vibe, not just the run of the mill chain bars and restaurants, also obviously got the beach / sea / downs thing which is good. Not sure I could live there but for a few days it's decent.

I've never actually been to central London! I live just outside of London and have done for the past 6 years. It would take about 1 hour and cost less than a fiver on the tube(the tube station is a 5 minute walk from my house) but mainly because of anxiety I've never actually been. With all the history and museums in London I would probably actually really enjoy it if I managed to be dragged there, it's the thought of the busy tube and then the busy places really sets my anxiety off, I haven't been on the tube either.
