Favorite sci-fi/fantasy movies of all time?

I'm reading the book at the moment, its very good.

Films for me, some more modern stuff.

1. Interstellar
2. Blade Runner 2049
3. Dark City
4. The 2009 Star Trek reboot. That opening sequence I think is the best of any Trek movie.
5. Prey
I’ve just downloaded it from Audible👍

Has anyone pointed out that that OP can't spell 'favourite'? The cultural imperialist cancer of the USA grows apace.

That sounds promising! Like I say, it’s a great story. You could imagine contact being made that way
Yeah but it does baffle me considering the conflict that goes on here on earth . What if we actually make contact and they want all our oil ? Surely it’s better to keep your head down and say nowt 😄

Surprised no one has mentioned 'Predestination'. One the best time travel films. Also worth mentioning that the star of the film Ethan Hawke is in another underrated sci-fi drama, Gattaca. Both well worth viewing.

Alien nation. A twist on lethal weapons good cop/bad cop routine. Bad cop / alien(good) cop

How this hasn't been remade is beyond me. The racial under and overtones could surely be easily returned for today's audiences.

They came close with a film called blight starring will smith

I've watched the first couple of episodes. It's amusing if you don't mind a slightly irritating Harry Potter-like kid.

Can anybody else claim to have watched (right to the end) Flesh Gordon (from the planet Porno)?
Yes! I'm sure I saw it at a midnight screening back in the stone age when I was a student. Can't remember that much about it TBH except that one of the characters was called Doctor Jerkoff :D.
