Fast broadband slowly coming to the area

Seen today that CityFibre are planning to do Redcar and Hartlepool, and already have Middlesbrough in their plans

YouFibre have started rolling out in Stockton and do 1000 up/down connections

Great for us as we don't have virgin in our street and Openreach ISP's sting us for a crappy 76mb connection. Probably take a year or two to fully roll out but looks really good 👌🏻

Good luck with that, I've consulted and installed for most big telecom companies and CityFibre are one absolute shower of ****. I don't even bother replying to their tenders now.

I'll be absolutely amazed if they don't go broke.

Shame you can't get Virgin mind, it's bloody quick! Goes on a weird go slow some mornings though.

They are currently doing round here In Herts. Green awnings everywhere on pavements and roadsides

I'm in Ingleby which will be YouFibre luckily. Have spoken to one of their customers and seen his 900+ Speeds in both directions. Can't wait!

in my old house I had 300mb virgin so it's been murder having such slow internet after that.

Always going to be problems with signal and latency. We don't even have true 5g here but what we do have relies on mobile mast coverage so think fibre will be king for a long time. YouFibre even do 10,000/10,000 connections although it's pricy at £300/month
I live down south which may make a difference. 5g it's fine for streaming HD in my area but still pricier than broadband but that will change over time.

Our broad bandspeed is only 40mb so not great.
