Farewell Sebastian Vettel

This weekend marks Seb's final outing in F1. He's gone from a bloke I couldn't stand (for reasons that are pathetic) to a guy I have the utmost respect for both for his driving skills and his compassionate attitude.

Farewell Seb!

He’s never changed to be fair he’s just a nice guy it was always odd how the uk press-fans demonised him when he was so well liked in the paddock.

A Principled man down to earth ( quietly got married no big news coverage never sold pics etc) just a quiet affair.

The paddock will be poorer with out him.

Good luck seb

Always seemed a nice guy and comes across well on the Netflix F1 series.
My brother was involved in a Ferrari F1event in Monaco a few years ago, and he saw a bit of Vettel and Raikkonen. He said Vettel just spent the whole time being really friendly and polite to the staff there, including the ones who were at the very bottom of the ladder. I remember my brother describing him as looking like a normal bloke who was just really happy to be where he was, almost as though he was pinching himself all the time, thinking ‘this is mint! my life is great!’ while enjoying the whole experience.
Said Kimi was funny in a different way, and one evening he left the event and walked past security with a carrier bag with stuff like Pringles and chocolate, then got on his moped with his wife on the back and headed off to his yacht. Like a normal bloke having attended, ticked the corporate duty box, then snuck out to go and watch Netflix.

Seb was fortunate to have a car that no-one could touch, and was better than his team mates. He was pretty clinical, but it was a boring time for F1
Others may say the same about the Hamilton years with Merc. But in the last few years Sebastian Vettel has come across as a very cool guy and has used his fame to advance his cause. Fair play to him, he's definitely grown up to be a very decent bloke, if not the best racer

It's not odd, he's German, most of the press still think we're fighting WW1, never mind WW2.

He is actually very funny for a german... He does excellent impressions of the other drivers
Most Germans are. It's only an old fashioned english stereotype that says otherwise.

Going to miss Seb. He was one of the grown ups in the room. Able to speak intelligently and thoughtfully (in a foreign language) on human rights subjects outside of F1.

It’s the type of humour… it’s almost British humour.

He was on an episode of TopGear a few years back with Paddy. He was absolutely ripping the pi$$ out of him

Well of course it is.

I'd argue the Germans are culturally the closest to us out of all our European cousins. As much as some little Englanders would hate to admit it.
