Called in to Marks football shirts shop & told him that you had gone out of your way & bought me the Boro/Grasshoppers scarf, the only one I needed from my collection of european double scarfs, he laughed & told me it was from here. Sorry if you mentioned Marks shop to me I was just buzzing that I finally completed my colection

Lovely thing to do Newy, firstly, to think of buying me the scarf & secondly, you've gone out of your way twice now in helping me, something I really do appreciate. Thank you so much

I never reveal my sources!
my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it! had to be done.. open goal.

Pray tell, what is this marks football shop?
Dundas Arcade.. generally seems to be open 10am till 3pm.. it’s properly good btw!

Best Boro shop by a a country mile, great shop, great atmosphere.. and great guy. A proper shop with great customer service.

My lad has been looking for a Viktor Fisher shirt for YEARS.. first time he went in and there it was. 100% recommended

It’s worth going in just to have a look around and have a chat.

That’s niche!

My lad always used to put him in his fifa team for Boro and when he signed he went absolutely ape! I would say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.. but naming a player and then us signing him.. different levels lol

So anyway.. used to get the kids shirts with their names and ages on as a bit of a ritual.. served them well for having a kick about with mates and going to games etc..

Obviously the years roll on and the little shirts don’t fit and he’s been trawling the internet for his perfect shirt.. his favourite Boro shirt his favourite era and of course his guy.. his number one pick.. his young manifestation of us signing this wonder kid.

I took him into the shop at dundas.. he'd just finished his exams and done well so said he could pick out a shirt for his hard work.. my treat. He’s a good lad and doesn’t ask for stuff for the sake of it and doesn’t just get stuff for the sake of and so was a bit reluctant.

I encouraged him to have a browse through and we were talking about different season and different players we’d signed.. he took out a Dwight Tindalli shirt and gave me a cheeky smile as is to say that was the one one for me lol

Anyway going through the rails his face looked utterly stunned and started shaking.. just a look of utter shock. Hahah.. little weirdo he was honestly over the moon. It was like he’d found the lost ark of the covenant!

Properly good experience.. great to have a chat with folks in the shop about their little stories and experiences.. it’s like how a shop should be. The guy who runs it is 100% golden man.

Like I say., it’s worth going in just to look around and have a chat. Hey.. and who knows you might find that little bit of magic that jumps out at you.. that perfect gift for a loved one or or just a token of appreciation for someone like Erimus who is without doubt the hardest core football fan collector that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.. total gent of a man. Unrivalled knowledge of the boro an absolute force of nature.. some of the stuff he comes out with is as jaw droppingly impressive.

If you ever think you know about the boro.. you will be taken a back after 20 seconds of conversation with Erimus. If you think you are a super fan.. get ready to have the wind taken out of your sails with the grace of a single whispered sentence of what happened when on what day and why.

Brilliant. I love Boro me.. or at least I thought I did. Wowza!

The shop in the dundas is properly good.. I can’t stress that enough.. so good!

Guaranteed to put a smile on the face of any Boro fan.

The feelings mutual Newy you are a real good bloke & as someone rightly mentioned earlier on this thread, a good egg & a great member of the coffee club, although a non poster on here now I do occasionally check this forum & wanted to post regarding the scarf you went out of your way to buy me, which also made my son happy as we both thought it a great gesture especially after the news I heard recently which I didn’t share to anyone in the CC group that my lung cancer has returned with operation & treatment to follow. Doing what you did keeps my attitude & posativity sky high & shows that there are really good, caring people in this world.

When I posted recently on Red Roar about my condition the support was overwhelming, then to read Ken, the owner of Red Roar, contributed to two different charities when hearing about the passing of AET shows that in this day present day of bad news after bad news there are real good people still around us

Great story regarding your son & Victor Fischer shirt too from a dad who will have been just as much made up

I am so sorry to hear about the lung cancer returning @Erimus74 , but hope the treatment goes as well as possible for you
You are a really nice bloke - and it’s been really great to meet you again a few times recently
Hope to see you again soon - and thank you so much for sharing the Boro memorabilia - which has been great to see

Can’t imagine what you’ve been going through. Glad I could bring a little bit of light to a really difficult time. Always a pleasure to chat with you and it was great to meet your son and see that he is doing what he loves.. living the dream. So cool and and absolute credit to you.
