He is greedy. He will never pass to someone in a better position if he thinks he can get a shot away. I knew it would cost us yesterday when he did that and it turned out it did. I don’t want to be to critical as I know he’s gonna play a big part this season considering he’s captain ( looks a bad decision now that) but it’s hard not to be critical of him. I would start Akpom on Wednesday

he will score more than Akpom I agree. I think we would win more games if Akpom started though, he has a football brain. Fletcher is the best out of an average bunch. Shame he’s injured . He would score and assist the most in this system in my opinion

It was an utterly appalling miss. Really, really shocking. The kind of incident that saps the players' confidence in him particularly, and the team generally.

Assombalonga really does need to be benched for a while. It's sad that the replacement in no better.

It was a sitter. He knew the conditions. It just needed a lighter touch.

The earlier miss was worse though. Johnson scored from an almost identical position. Britt is just gash.

Other players mentioned have all gone through bad patches (especially at the start of their Boro careers). I remember when "doing a Howson" was colloquial slang for taking a massive messy dump in your pants.

The difference with Britt is that he doesn't seem to care.

If you were playing in the lowest league on a Sunday morning and you did that then you would be gutted.
This is a £15m striker doing it at a very high level. I don’t care if he gets paid £30 a week or £30k a week, that’s got to go in.
Add the fact it’s far from a one off on to the mix as well..

I don’t know about that, think he will make a lot more than 10. How many has he made already? About 5 or 6? He’s not great but none of our strikers are. He is here though so he will play games, we don’t have any other option but to play these lads. It’s important our defence and midfielders are strong all season long because they are our best chance of a play off place with clean sheets.

A lot might change in January. If Fletcher is back and a new forward signed BA and Akpom will be 3rd / 4th choice. But I think we will be working hard to offload BA for a fee. Probably to a desperate Prem team eg Sheff United

Missed chances . well yes thats bad, but its his all round game. He hardly ever controls a ball on his first touch. Too many forward moves break down when he gets the ball.

That's not a sitter, he's a target for the loons, years ago it was Joe Bolton and John Craggs it never changes.

Last season it was McNair and Saville.
