Fadgies

Nil Irish whatsoever on my mams side of the family, but me nanna always made fadgies. I would have thought she'll have learned it off her mam, who's family were from Lincolnshire (via Marske).
Don't know if Marske had loads of Irish in the 1900s.

When I was working as a young lad on a Saturday morning, my night after the Arena cure was, 2 fadgies, stuffed with Seabrook's cheese crisps Mmmmm

My Mam regularly made them. Warm out of the oven, they were amazing. For another day or so they were really nice. Third day, we used to joke we could play football with em.

My lunchtime snack for a years when at St Georges school.
Walk to The Oval shops in Acklam, buy a Fadgie from Shipman’s bakers and a packet of Tudor crisps and a can of Top Deck.
RIP open the fadgie and stuff the whole contents of the crisp packet inside.
Nom Nom!
