Nothing to prove in the championship. It will almost certainly be a higher standard.

strange one though, as for development would you want your player going to a progressive championship club who are going to win 25-30 games in the season and score 80 goals. Or a mid table prem club that might win 10 all season and be under the cosh most games. same with archer.

I said in a different post at least if there is this debate with parent clubs we have done ourselves no harm with how we have handled our loan signings last year.

Basically exactly how a big club would want their players on loan to be used, lots of game time, playing good football and not scrapping, developing to be sent back improved.

Depends though. You could argue that you learn more from challenges than steam-rolling your way through things. Players in the PL are bigger, stronger and faster while also being better defenders. He probably needs to learn to play against those sort of players because he/they know he can do it against worse players. Probably makes more sense for a PL loan or a loan abroad against a different style of defender.

You get better by playing against opponents who are better than you. He's already played a whole season in the Championship. He needs to play a whole season in the Premier league or similar top tier league overseas to prove that he can cut it.

For me as good as the team has been last season, we ultimately fell short as a squad, so to me it means we need to look at improving most areas of the pitch and especially on loans, if we where as good as some would suggest we would of got over the line but from what I have seen we as fans where waiting for other teams to slip up and it was actually us as a team that slipped up, we failed to turn up to some big games which has cost us.

Is this a managerial, fault or player fault?

I suppose you can say both but for me the squad let us down and failed when it mattered and am sure carrik and his team know the people who they can trust and the areas we need to strengthen is there a possibility of Chuba going, but having a front 4 of Ramsey - Carvalho - diallo & Archer, would that be enough with Forss, Jones and Mcgree as back up ?

It would but I don’t see us signing all of those 4, on loan or even with a large Akpom fee.

I'd suspect there are a max of 10 players loaned from a prem club to another prem club. If he is one of them then players like Diallo, Ramsey and Archer will probably stay in the championship, which is a better and more relevant experience than most european leagues. I'd love us to get all 3 of those.
