Good point. If no London teams in final why not just play final at a closer neutral venue.

I think the takeover will be rubberstamped before then, and I doubt they'd win it anyway, but it'd almost be worth it to see the mental gymnastics of Newcastle fans if they won the FA Cup whilst still under Mike Ashley.

I'm rooting for Sheffield United and Leicester.

I can't see how it can kick off if non league teams aren't allowed to play football next season. FA Cup starts in August for those teams with pre qualifying games and then qualifying games before you even get anywhere near the first round proper.
