Extremely annoying things that try your patience

I always get stuck behinfd the driver of a car that seemingly does not go over 25 MPH regularly on the Eaglescliffe-Darlington Road. Do these people never wonder why there is always a big queue of traffic behind them.

Is the lorry incapable of travelling at 53 like? Maybe it's some kind of scenario like in the film 'speed'?

Anyone who has to keep 'constantly braking' is an absolute liability and needs to grow up.
One of my favourite Homer quotes:

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around the city, keeping its SPEED over 50. And if its SPEED dropped, it would explode! I think it was called...the bus that couldn't slow down

🤣🤣🤣

People who refuse to ‘merge in turn / zip merge’ when approaching roadworks resulting in tailbacks twice as long as necessary and miles of unused carriageway. Especially those who cleverly block both lanes in order to prevent it.

Instead of blocking out people who are driving to the rules of the Highway Code go read rule 134 of it and correct your driving !!!!! 🤬

this is topical for me as it happened today on the A689 at Wynyard.

on a similar vein, miles of set out traffic cones with sod all happening!!

Ditto cashpoint cripples! Hate that type of behaviour.

sorry if that description is not PC.
Two questions:
1. What does the price of the car parked in a disabled bay have to do with anything?
2. What is a cashpoint cripple?

" Miles of set out traffic cones with sod all happening "

This used to boil my P too until I found out that there is an actual reason for it.
The lane has to be " taken out / isolated before the work machinery arrives on site.
They can't have a situation where all the machinery arrives and it has nowhere to go
and would be so dangerous if they did arrive and simply stopped in a live lane.

Alternatively, the work may have been completed and the work vehicles have only just recently left the site.
The cones then have to be removed in reverse fashion and the traffic controllers are probably on their way
as you are driving past when " sod all is happening "

Yeah fair point.

Question 1: I don’t understand, I never mentioned the price of the car
Question 2: CC is an able bodied person in any vehicle who parks in a disabled bay as they are too lazy to, inconsiderate to and/or generally pig ignorant to walk a very short distance to a cashpoint or shop, thus potentially depriving a disabled person from parking their car in a space reserved for them.

It's very possible that they're picking someone up, or dropping someone off, who is disabled

Not when you watch them get out of the car, go to the cashpoint and get their money, or go into the shop, and then return to their car and drive away without picking anyone up.

Sorry, it was the post you were responding to that mentioned the expensive car.

That's fair enough. But it doesn't explain why some, and mainly smart motorway conversions, have cones and 50 zones for mile up on mile. They can't be using that many steamrollers....

Steamrollers?
Bye Jeez mate that's showing your age. 🤣

(Yeah sorry mate just had to.)

I should've mentioned that this is the case here in Oz. (y)

New one.....

Smart motorways. I broke down yesterday during a peak period so no f*cking hard shoulder. Sat in a lane trying to get out with cars flying past me and holding up the whole world.

I can see why folk have been killed.

Also thanks to ford for an 18 plate car dumping all its coolant in one go😕

That's why you need an EV. Not much call for coolant in them (they do have them, but sealed in the motors, never need topping up)
