The issue there isn't the guy doing 55 it's the lorry drivers, you should perrhaps direct your ire at them.Motorists who drive under 55mph on a motorway.
Apart from being annoying, it's dangerous. HGV have to overtake, usually taking a few miles to do so. Other motorists who drive a 70mph often have to slam on the brakes and swerve out of the way.
I get that, but my experience is newish cars.
Lorry driver cannot go over 56mph, most only do between 52 and 54 with full. Come across a driver doing 53, and it becomes a problem trying either overtake, but can't on a hill, or sitting behind them and constantly braking when catching them up.The issue there isn't the guy doing 55 it's the lorry drivers, you should perrhaps direct your ire at them.
Still don't see the problem Tiler. A lorry that wants to pass, but can't, then don't same as car drivers have to do on A roads behind lorries.Lorry driver cannot go over 56mph, most only do between 52 and 54 with full. Nah, you're just making it worse now.Lorry driver cannot go over 56mph, most only do between 52 and 54 with full. Come across a driver doing 53, and it becomes a problem trying either overtake, but can't on a hill, or sitting behind them and constantly braking when catching them up.

Is the lorry incapable of travelling at 53 like? Maybe it's some kind of scenario like in the film 'speed'?Lorry driver cannot go over 56mph, most only do between 52 and 54 with full. Been there, done that.Pressing the remote control really hard and pointing it close to the telly when the obvious problem is the batteries are gone and you can’t ‘squeeze’ extra power . Makes you concede you’re silly
No, lorry is not incapable of travelling at 53, unless going up a slight incline, then it can drop down to less that than that. That's why the lorry can catch up the car driving at 52 on a motorway, but then struggle to overtake it. Will have to drop back into Lane 1, sit behind the car. As it gathers speed again on cruise control, brake behind the car or attempt to overtake. But with any incline, it will struggle. The whole scenario starts again. Is the lorry incapable of travelling at 53 like? Maybe it's some kind of scenario like in the film 'speed'?
Anyone who has to keep 'constantly braking' is an absolute liability and needs to grow up.
Indicating is a big one for me too. It's not hard to do, and it's probably wise before sending 2 tonnes of metal on a different path to the one it's on. I think there should be higher penalities for none indicatorsIndicating or the lack thereof is definitely one of mine. I think the more you pay for your car, the less equipment you get.
Also, people for whom the speed limit seems optional. Driving the A66 daily reveals loads of them that like to do 55mph on the 70 stretch then they decide 50 isn't enough and go at 60 plus when they reach the 50mph section.
