Now then:

Remember the player whom Karanka ditched?

Ex-Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Shrewsbury man lauded for destroying Celtic's brilliant 12-month unbeaten record in shock St Mirren triumph

A former Pompey striker has been lauded as the inspiration behind ending Celtic’s remarkable year-long unbeaten league record.

The reigning Scottish Premiership champions suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at St Mirren on Sunday.

It ended a run of 38 league games and 364 days without defeat for Ange Postecoglou’s all-conquering side.

At the heart of St Mirren’s stunning performance was Curtis Main, whose fine display was singled out by boss Stephen Robinson.

The Gers` are still well in the hunt.

Such a pity that Albion Rovers arent up there(y)

The strange thing was he played as the sole striker for a few games when Karanka came in, then he got rid in the January.

It wasn't a great choice though - Main, Jutkewicz, Kamara (!) or Emnes.

I just looked up Karanka's first team, and the RB was Frazer Richardson about who I have no recollection at all.

One of Mowbrays, if I remember right. Frazer was one of those players who "passed through" during difficult times....

Will always think of Main as a positive purely for his goal in a 1-0 win against the scum.

Scored very late on, then got sent off after 2 very silly bookings inside a few minutes.
