Every EFL Match to be Streamed Live

Sky will allow every club to stream their games online that were scheduled to be televised without the club having to pay the broadcasting company“

You should be able to watch them from the Boro website - could during lockdown?

The Gazette article only references home games so I'm guessing the end of last season with both home and away streaming was a COVID special freebie due to the goalposts moving mid season without warning.

This season we at least know we're signing up for a season without some live footy. I'm taking it that they are reverting to home streaming only (for the uk based fans at least) but I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️

yeah, maybe UK based, non-UK could get away except televised games - hope still the same

i follow has changed the rules as well.... you can only sign up to ONE club so stopping watching away games that Boro wouldnt show

Thats nice to know, but I havnt been able to renew my season card
Does this take into account Season ticket holders from last season who hadnt yet renewed ?

That what I was thinking....are they going to open renewals again? If they do then how are they going to price it?

Im not going to be happy to be paying the equivalent of £18/match for my season card when Joe public is only paying £10/match to watch the same stream.

Maybe I cant have my cake and eat it, but it would be nice to at least have a taste.

I wish they would do this permanently. It's not going to affect attendances, and it's daft to only allow it for ex pat's. It's a big pile of money sitting on the floor not being used, so I think it's pretty much inevitable. Unfortunately the s***y deal they signed with sky runs to 2024.

Should be able to get around that by using different email addresses.....

I agree, I live in Nottingham and as much as I would love to, I cannot justify not being with my family for 1 day of our weekend, but I can spend a couple of hours on a Saturday for a tenner watching the boro.

who has 20 email addresses hahaha
VERP allows you to put +whatever after the userid part of the address. Most providers support this. Gmail, I believe, supports using a . To do this. I have my own domain hosted at Protonmail, so however many I want.
