Everton v Arsenal

Did you hear that from the female scouse pundit

These supporters are truly unique in the country.

Really I’ve found goodison to be quite soulless ( until they score that is).

Let’s see how good they are in the championship.

Come on Arsenal.

Btw don’t forget Arsenal “own” Everton as well ( follow the money) “Moshiri is a long-term business partner and employee of Usmanov, and until he bought into Everton he co-owned shares with him at Arsenal.”

I'm hoping for a Everton win
Everton are sat that deep, Arsenal could play with a rush goalie.

Obviously set up not to get beat here today and hoping to catch Arsenal on the break. Everton have rattled into tackles hoping to upset Arsenal's rhythm but I am sure Arteta expected that.

Everton fans are dreadful. The atmosphere is non existent. They only wake up for the last 10 minutes and only if they're comfortably winning. Sadly I've experienced that a few times at Goodison, we've had some awful results there. My mate is an Everton fan so I've been with him a few times when Boro weren't playing and the fans are just so negative.

Everton beginning to press together rather than individually and Arsenal are looking for the Hollywood pass. Everton are doing ok now.

I don't share the antipathy to Everton.
I have a soft spot for them really: my first Boro match was away there in the cup in 88.

Yes, their fans have a overinflated opinion of their own support, and where their club belong. In that, they are the same as every other set of fans in the country.

Beyond that, I understand there are a few lasting grudges from the hooligan days of the 70s and early 80s, but I've never experienced that.

There's a lot to be said for the 5 clubs who have always been in the top flight in my lifetime having a stint outside the PL, but other than that, I've got nothing against Everton.

I think it is more to do with them flirting with relegation for so long, similar to Coventry, that fans would like to see them drop out of the PL. I don't get the fear of them being in the Championship that's been mentioned on other threads, many of the players will leave and they will have to start again.

Dyche's teams are always hard to beat and the players are usually committed to the cause but it is never pretty.

4/5yards out surely Ramsdale should be trying to catch/punch that away.
I thought there were enough Arsenal players there to deal with it and I am sure there's a block/leaning on an Arsenal player preventing him from dropping half a yard.

I must agree with you, I like to see the keeper come out and clear everything no matter who is in the way.

Everton worthy of their win, stopped Arsenal from moving the ball about at will, pressed well when without the ball and never let them settle.

If they carry on playing like that they will be safe.

Everton certainly ripped up the form book!
New manager bounce - or more than that?
They'll certainly be in with a chance of survival if they perform like that a few more times
