I’m currently in the middle of one with a woman defending the Tories in their handing of the current situation and the funding of the NHS in particular. She keeps repeating how spending has never been so high on the NHS ,and I’ve pointed out and provided numerous links to how funding in real terms has fallen under the Tories from its historical average of a 3.7% increase per year to 1.4%. I’ve been called a liar, despite all the the evidence I’ve provided her with, and I’ve also pointed out that funding for the NHS was much higher under the last Labour government. She got really annoyed when I also told her we wouldn’t even have an NHS if the Tories had got their way, as they opposed the bill at ever stage of parliament when Aneurin Bevan and the Labour Party proposed it. I guess there’s no hope for some people when they won’t even acknowledge the truth and facts right in front of their noses. Funny old world 🤔

I had one with a Bournemouth fan when they beat us to promotion...he didn't like the fact I said they were bank rolled by a Russian so it was hardly the fairy tale the media made out. He got more upset when I said he would be supporting Man Utd again soon....started posting pictures of himself at games when he was 6......Am still looking forward to the day they come down!
 
twitter can be a poisonous old place. I'm mates with the singer Eddi Reader on there and she was saying the other day that some right wing nob head had managed to find her home address, then put it on there and encouraged people to go round and confront her.
