Haha. Complete with socks and sandals.Fascinating series, much appreciated.Interesting to see Sean Locke on the thumbnail for Anatolia 3 above,8 out of 10 catacombs?
Any chance of a map showing the journey you took?Loved this place. A Roman city just being uncovered.
Thanks! There are maps in the videos between each section, but I will do one at the end. Good idea.
I was in Armenia myself last summer. Had no idea the border with Turkey was closed - not that I'd intended travelling there from that direction but even so. Really must start paying attention to detail.I was lucky enough to make a series for National Geographic last year, following the old silk and spice routes across Turkey It was stunning and a real eye opener (some of the ancient history/archaeology was incredible).
So each day I'll post up a small section of the journey (5 to 10 mins), which I hope you will enjoy. Some fantastic scenery.
We're starting right on Turkey's closed border with Armenia, in the ruins of one what was once one of the most impressive cities on Earth: Ani.
Best watched full screen. Make sure to select 1080p in the settings (not auto).
