Erik Alonso's Derby County takeover in SERIOUS jeopardy !!!

I’ve lately taken a mega dislike of Derby . I never really cared much either way as they were in my opinion a club of the same stature as ourselves and never really hurt us in any capacity - we even gave them Cloughie for their moment in the sun ........However I now wish them ill will , and it’s bound to be the underhand revenue conniving , and here we go ( puts tin hat on ) Rooney 32 🤭

Bet Rooney must be thinking “ what the hell have I done “ Big lesson in life is not jumping on the first bus especially when you’ve got time on your side . Can’t of been just for money as he must have it coming out of his ears . ( they’re big enough ) 🤭

I know some great people from Derby and have fond memories of going to the Baseball Ground and Pride Park with them but, I would like to see this club languish in the lower leagues for a few years and all because of Mel Morris.

After all of Mel Morris's antics recently I wouldn't mind them having a season or two in league 1 but he's obviously getting out of there and cutting his losses.
I fear for derby a bit when blokes like this one start getting involved, you just know it isn't going to end well particularly if they're in league 1, which is a hell of a slog.
Its the fans who suffer in the end and I don't take any satisfaction from seeing some of our recent rivals like bolton having to go through what they've gone through and wouldn't wish the same on derby fans.

Yes I have... But RE financing would suggest he owns it in the first place... Just like we would RE Mortgage.
I don't want to have an argument about the definition of the terms used in a Daily Mail article but it goes on to say "Mel Morris has a loan secured against the stadium."
So instead of Alonso using his cash to buy the club, he would "refinance" that loan to release extra capital value in the stadium to have the cash with which to buy the club.

Sorry I'm still in the dark with this...

Alonso doesnt have the loan... Morris does.. So I can understand him essentially taking the loan off him which would in effect give him the stadium (in the same way we take a mortgage against a property.

But how can he take a loan out using the stadium he doesn't own against a loan out on the same stadium he wants to buy?
